On Friday evening, December 19th, at 7pm the LCHS Drama Department, Concert Band, and Lewis County Children’s Choir performed a number of hilarious and sentimental skits, songs, and dances. “A Texas Christmas,” directed by Kayla Stafford, Matt Voiles, Carson Rickett, and Colton Carrington, takes place at a Radio Studio in Tuna, Texas, complete with cacti, cowboy hats, and armadillo jello molds. With lead anchors, Kami Bentley and Kyle Jarrells on the air, there was a ton of laughs shared by the 400+ audience. The show featured a number of soloists, including Cayley Potter, Heaven Jones, Madison McNay, Christine Johnson, Natalie Jamison, Sarah Paige Weddington, Tandy Wallingford, Laira Kennedy, and Keelee Tackett. Also joining the cast was a number of guest dancers, including Haley Botkins, Tegan Evans, and Morgan Enix of the LCHS Varsity Cheerleading Squad.
Directed by Matt Voiles, the LCHS Concert Band performed “A Country Cookin’ Christmas,” “A Down Home Christmas,” and “Holiday Hoedown.” Band Members include: Rachel Bentley, Sarah Zapf, Laura May, Abigail Darlington, Karley Strang, Beth Thomas, Emily Lewis, Leslianne Harris, Bailee Schackart, Taylor Iery, Erin Pugh, Rebekah Potter, Austin Ruggles, Brittany Johnson, Rachel Tully, Tyler Skidmore, Mykaela Bevins, Tyran Ellis, Jayden Mitchell, Benji Hall, Damon Kennedy, Kennedy Wellman, Devon Switzer, Megan Clark, Baesha Johnson, Alicia Ruggles, Lillie Clark, Cayley Potter, Heaven Jones, Shawn Himes, Logan Burris, Blayne Lykins, Brandon Truban, Kaleb DeLozier, Savanah Thornberry, Meghan McGowan, Jackie Rister, Madison McNay, Andrew Smith, Amber McKinney, Mikeyla Hord, Emily Bowden, Alex Chaney.
